Dr. Dae S. Kim of Newton Highlands, MA organizes 2^2-IN-ventors to mobilize the retired independent inventors with proven ability to solve urgent socially relevant technical problems.

About four decades ago, Dr. Kim helped the late Mr. Sam Smith, who was also a resident of Newton, to start Inventors Association of New England and put it on the track with the helps from Science Museum, MIT, Ch-5 and the late Mr. Peter Hotton of Boston Globe.

Unlike most lawyers, who create conflicts and then help to settle for money, many engineers love to solve societal technical problems for fun.

Like any other human endeavor, some of us are born with the ability to solve technical problems, like Mr. Larry Bird is built to put the ball in a basket. Fortunately, the mental problem-solving ability improves with age, not like the physical ability of an athlete. 

2^2–IN-ventors hopes to give an opportunity, fellowship and challenge to the old with proven ability and to the young to discover their own inventive ability. We must improve our consumption-powered, politically driven and ill-regulated capitalism.
